  • Description
  • Overhead insulated wire is a type of conductor used for overhead power lines with an AC rated voltage of 35 kV or below. It is widely used in places with high safety requirements such as urban streets, high-rise building areas, and forest areas. Its conductors are mostly aluminum core or steel core aluminum stranded structure, and the outer layer is extruded with PVC, PE or XLPE and other insulating materials, which have good mechanical strength, high temperature resistance and aging resistance. According to different insulation materials, the upper limit of long-term working temperature is between 70 ℃ and 90 ℃, and technical parameters such as laying temperature, maximum temperature during short circuit and bending radius are specified

Overhead insulated lines are mainly used for overhead power lines with AC rated voltage of 35 kV and below, especially suitable for the following situations:

Rated voltage: divided into three levels: 1 kV, 10 kV, and 35 kV

    Temperature parameters:

    Long term working temperature of polyvinyl chloride/polyethylene insulation ≤ 70 ℃, cross-linked polyethylene insulation ≤ 90 ℃

    Maximum conductor temperature during short circuit: PVC 160 ℃, PE 130 ℃, cross-linked PE 250 ℃

Laying requirements: The ambient temperature should not be lower than -20 ℃ , and the minimum bending radius should be ≥ 6 times the outer diameter of the cable

According to the different conductor materials and insulation materials, they are mainly divided into:

Copper (aluminum) core polyvinyl chloride insulated overhead cable (JKYJ/JKLYJ): suitable for 1 kV and 10 kV lines

Copper (aluminum) core polyethylene insulated overhead cable (JKLYJ/JKTRYJ): suitable for 10 kV lines

Copper (aluminum) core cross-linked polyethylene insulated overhead cable (JKLGYJ/JKYJ): suitable for lines of 35 kV and below
