- Description

DC resistance: at 20°C, 0.4mm copper wire ≤148Ω/km, 0.5mm copper wire ≤95Ω/km. Insulation Electrical Strength: No breakdown between conductors at 1kV for 1 minute, no breakdown between conductor and shield at 3kV for 1 minute
Insulation resistance: For each core wire grounded to the other conductors, the control cable shall be greater than 10,000 MΩ·km, and the HYAT cable shall be greater than 3,000 MΩ·km.
Working capacitance: average 52±2nF/km
Far-end crosstalk protection: The average power of the specified combination exceeds 69dB/km at 150kHz.
Performance difference
Control cables feature moisture resistance, corrosion resistance, and damage resistance, making them suitable for installation in tunnels or cable trenches. [1] Power cables are used in the main power transmission lines of electrical systems to convey and distribute high-power electricity, while control cables directly transmit power from the distribution points of the power system to the power supply connections of various electrical equipment and appliances. The rated voltage of power cables is generally 0.6/1kV or higher, whereas control cables are primarily rated at 450/750V. For cables of the same specifications, power cables have thicker insulation and sheathing than control cables during production.
Due to the reasons mentioned above, the specifications of power cables can generally be larger, reaching up to 500 square millimeters (within the production range of conventional manufacturers). For even larger cross-sectional areas, the number of manufacturers capable of producing them is relatively limited. In contrast, the cross-sections of control cables are typically smaller, with a maximum generally not exceeding 10 square millimeters.
In terms of cable core count, power cables are typically limited to a maximum of 5 cores based on grid requirements, while control cables, used for transmitting control signals, have a higher core count. According to standards, the maximum can reach 61 cores, but production can also be customized according to user requirements.
